Transform Your Kayak Fishing Adventures

Imagine gliding silently across a glassy lake at dawn, positioning perfectly over a school of bass without dipping a paddle or drifting off target. That's the reality with this Minn Kota Kayak Terrova 55 trolling motor. Designed specifically for the unique demands of kayak anglers, it combines compact power with cutting-edge GPS technology to give you hands-free control and pinpoint accuracy. Whether you're chasing walleye in weedy shallows or drifting for crappie, this motor lets you focus on the bite, not the boat.

Seamless Stow and Deploy for Kayak Life

Kayaks demand gear that's quick to handle and space-efficient. The innovative stow/deploy lever makes raising and lowering the motor a one-handed operation—fall-away ramps guide it smoothly into the water, while Auto Park rotates the lower unit for effortless stowing. No more wrestling with heavy mounts or fumbling in tight quarters. This feature alone saves precious minutes when conditions change fast, like incoming wind or a hot bite calling you elsewhere.

GPS-Powered Precision: Stay on the Fish Longer

At the heart of the Kayak Terrova is Minn Kota's renowned GPS system, packing features pro anglers swear by. Spot-Lock acts like an invisible anchor, holding your position within inches using satellite precision—ideal for marking that hump or weed edge. Record your favorite paths with the record function, replaying them on future trips, or engage AutoPilot to follow contours effortlessly. Control it all from the compact micro remote clipped to your PFD or via the intuitive One-Boat Network app on your phone.

For kayak fishers integrating tech, the One-Boat Network shines. Pair it with compatible Humminbird units to sync your motor, sonar, and even shallow water anchors. Commands flow seamlessly: adjust trolling speed, steer remotely, or toggle Spot-Lock without touching the boat. It's like having a first mate in your pocket.

Power That Lasts: Efficiency Meets Thrust

With 55 pounds of thrust on a single 12V battery, this motor punches above its weight for kayaks up to 16 feet. The Digital Maximizer technology is a battery whisperer, extending runtime up to five times by delivering precise power—no wasteful surges. Dial in speeds from whisper-quiet finesse to steady troll, and watch your deep-cycle battery stretch through marathon sessions.

The Weedless Wedge 2 propeller slices through vegetation like a hot knife, its flared blades shedding weeds and mud without stalling. Pair that with the lifetime-guaranteed composite shaft, which flexes under impacts but never breaks, and you've got durability built for rocky shores and hidden snags.

Real-World Kayak Angler Tips

• Battery Setup: Opt for a lightweight lithium group 27 or 29 battery mounted mid-kayak for balance. Position it forward of the seat to counter the bow weight—keeps you stable even fully loaded.
• Installation Insight: Secure the bow mount to flat decking with included hardware. Test deploy in shallow water first to fine-tune shaft angle for your hull's rocker.
• Fishing Hacks: Use Spot-Lock for solo live-lining baitfish; it counters wind better than any drift sock. Record dawn patrols to hit exact weedlines at legal light.
• Maintenance Musts: Rinse the shaft and prop after brackish trips. Check remote battery quarterly—low power means spotty signal.
• Versatility Boost: Variable speeds excel for finesse jigging or pulling crankbaits; power steering turns on a dime for tight spots.
